Xenon lamps do not use in fog lights: constantly changing the configuration of the discharge violates the strictly calculated geometry of the light beam, and the headlight does not perform its direct function. For fog lights it is better to use only LED bulbs.

Volvo S60 Generations
Volvo S60 20 Generation (2021)
The Volvo S60 is a five-seat luxury sedan. The front-drive models are equipped with a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive versions use a 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine with 316 horsepower. Both engines work with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Volvo S60 19 Generation (2020)
New features for the 2020 Volvo S60 include a 12.3-inch digital dashboard now standard. Standard convenience features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and a panoramic sunroof with a sunshade. Standard active safety features include frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beam.
Volvo S60 18 Generation (2019)
Updated for 2019, the S60 is available in Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription. A standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine (designated T5) drives the front wheels, while an optional turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine (T6) is paired with all-wheel drive.
Volvo S60 17 Generation (2018)
With 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, the T6 moves briskly when all systems are off, but there are a noticeable gas pedal lag and a lazy automatic engine start system that delays movement for a few moments after the gas pedal is depressed.
Volvo S60 16 Generation (2017)
The 2017 Volvo S60 will be available in the T5 Dynamic, T6 R-Design, and the high-performance Polestar. Compare them here. Volvo has simplified the S60’s equipment and engines for 2017; compare 2017 with the 2016 S60 here. The front-wheel-drive is standard on the T5 (all-wheel drive is optional), while the T6 and Polestar get AWD standard.
Volvo S60 15 Generation (2016)
Two new models join the S60 lineup: the China-built Inscription with front- or all-wheel drive and the all-wheel-drive Cross Country. Volvo will also offer a small run of all-wheel-drive Polestar S60s powered by a 345-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and featuring suspension and brake system modifications.
Volvo S60 14 Generation (2015)
The front-drive model comes with a 240-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and an eight-speed automatic transmission while the all-wheel-drive version has a 250-hp, turbo 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic.
Volvo S60 13 Generation (2014)
The 2014 S60 features a restyled front end and dashboard, and new sport seats and upholstery options are available. In addition, the exterior includes new LED taillight accents and wheel designs.
Volvo S60 12 Generation (2013)
The all-wheel-drive Volvo S60 2013 delivers fast, easy driving, and reliable performance. Volvo used to be known as a safe luxury brand, but with models like the S60 it has established itself as a practical luxury brand, and the automaker should wave that banner proudly.
Volvo S60 11 Generation (2012)
For 2012, Volvo adds a base front-drive T5 model with a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 250 hp, plus a T6 R-Design model with an all-wheel drive and a 325-hp, turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder.
Volvo S60 10 Generation (2011)
After taking a year off, Volvo’s five-seat S60 luxury sedan returned in redesigned form for 2011. Along with all-new exterior and interior styling, the S60 featured a new 300-horsepower, turbocharged six-cylinder, and all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Cadillac CTS, Infiniti G37, and Acura TL.
Volvo S60 9 Generation (2009)
For 2009, all versions now come standard with an automatic transmission with manual shift function, more standard features have been added to each trim level of the cabin.
Volvo S60 8 Generation (2008)
For 2008, the S60 loses some of its sporty cachets, as both the manual transmission and the high-performance S60 R have been dropped. The remaining trim levels receive a few more standard features.
Volvo S60 7 Generation (2007)
For 2007, the S60 gets a new front grille and bumper design, plus a variety of other changes including a firmer suspension and anti-roll bars. Volvo’s electronic stability control system is newly standard for all S60s.
Volvo S60 6 Generation (2006)
For 2006, 6-speed automatic transmission with Geartronic operation is optional. A Convenience Package replaces the prior Touring Package, and the new all-wheel-drive system features Instant Traction.
Volvo S60 5 Generation (2005)
For 2005, the T5’s engine got an additional 10 hp, for a total of 257 hp. The T5 also gained a standard sport suspension and could be equipped with 17- or 18-inch wheels. Volvo’s Four-C chassis became optional on all turbocharged models and standard on the R. Exterior freshening included body-colored moldings and a softened front nose.
Volvo S60 4 Generation (2004)
For 2004, a 208-horsepower, 2.5-liter light-pressure-turbocharged five-cylinder replaces the prior 197-hp 2.4-liter engine. A less-potent 2.4-liter five-cylinder serves as the base engine, while the turbocharged 2.3-liter in the T5 edition produces 247 hp. The mirrors have been redesigned to reduce wind noise, new 15-inch alloy wheels are installed, and new ZF rack-and-pinion steering is used. A new instrument panel features watch-bezel gauge surrounds, and the flip-style key has an integrated remote control.
Volvo S60 3 Generation (2003)
Built for high-performance operation, the S60 R sedan holds a 300-hp engine and features a Four-C adaptive chassis, along with Servotronic steering, Brembo brakes, and Haldex all-wheel drive. The S60 R went into limited production early in 2003 as a 2004 model. Both the S60 R and a comparable V70 R wagon were introduced to the U.S. market at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2003.
Volvo S60 2 Generation (2002)
An all-wheel-drive model has joined the S60 sedan lineup for 2002. The electronically controlled AWD system was developed in cooperation with Haldex, a company called a pioneer in the vehicle-technology field. Power is distributed automatically to the wheels via a wet multi-plate clutch. As a result, Volvo promises rapid engagement and disengagement times.
Volvo S60 1 Generation (2001)
Late in 2001, the S60 AWD will be available and equipped with Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC), which utilizes the sensors of Volvo’s antilock brake system to monitor wheel spin. If one front wheel rotates faster on a slippery surface, DSTC automatically breaks the spinning wheel until traction is regained.
