Nissan Pathfinder 29 Generation (2020)
Changes for 2020 are limited to a new Rock Creek Edition, aimed at buyers looking for a more rugged, off-road look. Available with front- or all-wheel drive on SV and SL trim levels, the Rock Creek Edition includes unique 18-inch wheels and tires, a black mesh grille, black roof rails, black door handles, black mirror caps, and black badges. Inside, the Rock Creek Edition gets two-tone seats, contrast stitching, and more badges.
Nissan Pathfinder 28 Generation (2019)
Rear parking sensors and two USB Type-C ports are now standard, and SV trim levels add adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. SL and Platinum models gain LED headlights.
Nissan Pathfinder 27 Generation (2018)
Automatic emergency braking, available only on higher-priced models last year, is now standard on all models. A new rear-seat reminder is also standard; if a rear door is opened before a trip but not opened again when the ignition is turned off, a dashboard light and horn honks remind the driver to check if anything was left behind in the back.
Nissan Pathfinder 26 Generation (2017)
The three-row SUV has become the vehicle of choice for large families, and many models in this class have been redesigned or updated over the past few years. For the 2017 model year, the Nissan Pathfinder gets an updated design, new features, and a new V-6 engine with direct fuel injection that boosts power.
Nissan Pathfinder 25 Generation (2016)
A Cold Package with heated cloth front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated side mirrors is optional for the SV trim level. The SL model gains a heated steering wheel.
Nissan Pathfinder 24 Generation (2015)
The SL Tech Package, SL Premium Package, and New Family Entertainment Package all receive updates. The SL trim receives blind-spot warning rear cross-traffic alert and a 120-volt outlet. The Platinum has those features as well as a dual panorama moon roof. The S trim does not have any significant changes.
Nissan Pathfinder 23 Generation (2014)
For 2014, the Pathfinder is offered with an SL Tech package, which includes a 13-speaker Bose audio system, voice recognition capability, Bluetooth streaming audio, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a navigation system with traffic and weather features.

Nissan Pathfinder 17 Generation (2008)
The 2008 Pathfinder is relatively unchanged, aside from the newly available V-8 engine. Larry Dominique, Nissan vice president of product planning, said a V-8 was added to the Pathfinder lineup in response to customer demand for more engine power. Rated at 300-plus horsepower, the V-8 gives the seven-seat Pathfinder SUV the ability to tow up to 7,000 pounds when properly equipped. The Pathfinder’s center dash controls have also been redone and now have a more refined appearance.
Nissan Pathfinder 16 Generation (2007)
Changes are minor for 2007. For front passengers, auto up/down power windows come standard, as does an auxiliary audio input jack. An auto-reverse function automatically reverses the windows’ direction when an object is in its path. Desert Stone is a new exterior color.

A four-wheel-drive Pathfinder maneuvers smartly through challenging off-road obstacles. Nissan’s Hill Descent Control works with amazing expertise to control the SUV’s speed during downhill runs. Hill Start Assist can also be helpful.

A new grille with an enlarged Nissan restyling badge is fitted on 2002 models, which come with new 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The SE version features new stepped handrails with titanium accents, a roof rack with a built-in air dam, new bumpers, and body-color fenders, and a redesigned cloth interior. The steering wheel has been restyled, and the six-disc CD changer is faster.
Nissan Pathfinder 10 Generation (2001)
Last spring saw the arrival of larger, more powerful V-6 engines and an updated interior, which gave the Pathfinder an early start for the 2001 model. On the XE and LE models, the instrument cluster has black markings on a white background, while the SE has an eye-catching titanium background and the colors swap out at night. Convenient, large climate and audio controls are easy to access, and additional redundant audio controls on the steering wheel include a switch.
