Xenon lamps do not use in fog lights: constantly changing the configuration of the discharge violates the strictly calculated geometry of the light beam, and the headlight does not perform its direct function. For fog lights it is better to use only LED bulbs.

Ford Ranger Generations
Ford Ranger 21 Generation (2021)
As competitors continued to update their own small pickups, Ford, too, delighted with its changes. And it introduced the Ranger, an updated version of its global Ranger pickup, to the North American market, causing much cheering.
Ford Ranger 20 Generation (2020)
The company hasn’t done too much to update the Ranger’s styling, adapting it to the U.S. market, as it looks much the same as when it was introduced in its current form in 2011. Nevertheless, it looks clean and modern, with distinctive Ford styling elements. At the front and a large identifying Ranger logo embossed on the tailgate.
Ford Ranger 19 Generation (2019)
The new 2019 Ford Ranger is fantastic. It shares many of its components with the global model, but Ford insists on significant differences, such as an all-new frame designed for U.S. crash tests and payload requirements. But Ford has limited options: there is only one powertrain, one wheelbase, and only two cab styles and body lengths to choose from.
Ford Ranger 18 Generation (2011)
The Ranger is offered in two cab styles: regular and SuperCab. The regular cab comes with either a 6- or 7-foot cargo bed, while the SuperCab comes only with a 6-foot bed. Three trim levels are offered: XL, XLT, and Sport.
Ford Ranger 17 Generation (2010)
The 2010 Ranger added rollover stability control and side airbags as standard safety equipment. The FX4 off-road model has been withdrawn from sale in the U.S. but is still available in Canada. The XL work truck adds standard air conditioning.
Ford Ranger 16 Generation (2009)
Ford didn’t add anything for 2009, but the automaker did kill a few features. The 3.0-liter V-6 engine was dropped, as was the 4×4 regular cab. The only other changes are packaging revisions: A Class III trailer hitch is standard on all V-6 models, and Sirius Satellite Radio is standard on FX4 and Sport models.
Ford Ranger 15 Generation (2008)
Ford’s compact Ranger truck enters 2008 with a more aerodynamic front bumper and few other changes. The Ranger is available with a four-cylinder or a choice of two V-6s, with either a manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. While its competitors — like the Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier, and Dodge Dakota — have grown in dimensions over the years, the Ranger has remained relatively the same size for the past decade.
Ford Ranger 14 Generation (2007)
For 2007, a tire pressure monitoring system and a passive anti-theft system come standard on all models. An audio input jack comes standard for all stereos except the base AM/FM receiver. Two new 16-inch aluminum wheels are now available on most models, and Sirius Satellite Radio is available on the STX, XLT, Sport, and all FX4 models. Single-disc CD audio systems now have MP3 compatibility.
Ford Ranger 13 Generation (2006)
The Edge has been renamed Ranger Sport for 2006. Design changes for all models this year include revised bumper colors, a horizontal grille insert, fender flares, clear-lens parking lamps, new taillamps, and fog lamps, and a 9-inch Ford oval on the grille and tailgate. Two-tone paint goes on FX4/Off-Road and Level II models. FX4/Off-Road pickups are now available in two- or four-door SuperCab form.
Ford Ranger 12 Generation (2005)
Two configurations were added for 2005: regular-cab XLT models with a 7-foot cargo box and the Ranger Edge, which could be equipped with a Tremor MP3 audio and wheel package. Aimed at young buyers, the sporty Edge edition conveyed the assertive look and ride height of a four-wheel-drive Ranger at a lower price.
Ford Ranger 11 Generation (2004)
For 2004, all Rangers get a raised, powered dome hood. The new nostril grille has horizontal bars on 4×2 models and a honeycomb pattern on 4x4s. A rally gauge cluster is new, and a Pioneer Sound Package includes an in-dash six-CD MP3 player. Later in the model year, leather seating surfaces become optional and the Tremor audio system gets a boost to 510 watts and adds MP3 capability.
Ford Ranger 10 Generation (2003)
Ford gives compact-pickup buyers plenty of choices. Last year, Ford made some new option groups available for Rangers, including an FX4/Level II option group that was dubbed the true off-road enthusiast package. Early in 2003, a Wheels and Tunes package built around a CD/MP3 player emerged for the XLT 4×4 SuperCab. A Tremor SuperCab audio package also was offered.
Ford Ranger 9 Generation (2002)
For 2002, the 3.0-liter V-6 has been enhanced. Five-spoke, 16-inch aluminum wheels are new, and sport bucket seats for the front are newly optional. A new MP3/CD audio system is also available.
Ford Ranger 8 Generation (2001)
New sheet metal in front of the windshield gives the Ranger compact pickup a fresh face for 2001 similar to the Explorer Sport is appearance. A sporty two-wheel-drive Edge model adds a bulging hood, a monochromatic exterior, and 16-inch tires to impart the aggressive look of a four-wheel-drive model while keeping the cost down.
Ford Ranger 7 Generation (2000)
A Trailhead option package that dresses two-wheel-drive Rangers to look like 4x4s is the main addition for 2000 to the best-selling compact pickup.
