Ford Fusion Generations
Ford Fusion 2 Generation (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020)
One of the best-looking options in a category not known for its distinctive styling, the Fusion offers a sporty treatment to match its aggressive looks. Changes in this generation include an available turbocharged four-cylinder engine instead of the old optional V-6, offering similar performance with improved gas mileage. For 2017, the Sport model gets a twin-turbocharged V-6 and other performance improvements, and for 2019, the Fusion gets minor styling updates.
Ford Fusion 1 Generation (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012)
The first-generation Fusion was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and had a large trunk. The base engine was a 160-horsepower, 2.3-liter four-cylinder, and a sleek 3.0-liter V-6 was optional. An all-wheel-drive variant with standard side airbags appeared in 2007. The Ford Sync voice recognition system debuted in 2008, and an optional electronic stability system arrived in 2009. The 2010 update included styling changes, an available blind-spot warning system, and a new Sport model. That same year, the Fusion Hybrid was released.
