Chevrolet Spark Generations
Chevrolet Spark 9 Generation (2021)
There are no significant changes this year.
Chevrolet Spark 8 Generation (2020)
There are no significant changes.
Chevrolet Spark 7 Generation (2019)
Spark’s front end has been restyled for 2019. It also has two new illuminated USB ports and an updated multimedia system. Low-speed forward automatic emergency braking is now available.
Chevrolet Spark 6 Generation (2018)
There are no significant changes.
Chevrolet Spark 5 Generation (2017)
As Chevrolet’s smallest model, the Spark is the automaker’s entrant in the minicar segment. It’s an urban runabout that’s equipped with some high-tech features like a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity.
Chevrolet Spark 4 Generation (2016)
The new Spark gets a more mature design; gone are the tall pointy headlights that made it look like it had oversized features. It now looks much more like the rest of the Chevrolet family and less like a bug-eyed character from an anime cartoon. The new Spark sits on a slightly longer wheelbase for better interior space, but it’s also 1.6 inches lower overall. Chevy maintains that the lower roof does not impact the interior headroom, but it does help with aerodynamic efficiency versus the current model.
Chevrolet Spark 3 Generation (2015)
The OnStar communication system adds 4G LTE internet connectivity with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. A three-month/3-gigabyte data trial is included.
Chevrolet Spark 2 Generation (2014)
For 2014, the Chevrolet Spark can be had with an optional continuously variable automatic transmission designed for improved gas mileage, faster acceleration, and quieter performance. Automatic headlights are now standard on all trims, while the 2LT gets heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals.
Chevrolet Spark 1 Generation (2013)
It’s hard to imagine a domestic automaker developing a comprehensive, affordable, and shockingly roomy microcar with cutting-edge technology, but Chevrolet has done just that with the 2013 Spark. The beauty of the Chevrolet Spark is really in its deceptive size. On the outside, the 144.7-inch hatchback is only 2 inches shorter than the Mini Cooper’s hardtop and more than 15 inches shorter than the Ford Fiesta hatchback. Passenger volume is estimated at 86.5 cubic feet.
