Xenon lamps do not use in fog lights: constantly changing the configuration of the discharge violates the strictly calculated geometry of the light beam, and the headlight does not perform its direct function. For fog lights it is better to use only LED bulbs.

BMW X5 Generations
BMW X5 3 Generation (2014 – 2021)
The updated 2014 BMW X5 continues its winning formula of being a stylish, expensive, luxury SUV for secret wagon fans who prefer to sit up high. The BMW X5 is a complete redesign for 2014 with some new standard equipment, such as the latest iDrive multimedia system with touchpad and BMW apps, as well as automatic engine stop and start, a 40/folding 20/40 split rear seat, and speed-sensitive power steering. The X5 sDrive35i, a less expensive rear-wheel-drive model, is available for the first time. Satellite radio 2021 and Android Auto smartphone connectivity are now standard, and the 40i version is now equipped with a mild-hybrid system.
BMW X5 2 Generation (2007 – 2013)
The second-generation 2007 X5 and its focus on on-road excellence rather than off-road capability was a smart move, given BMW’s brand heritage and how rarely most consumers venture off-road in their SUVs. An optional M Performance Package was added for 2013, which my test X5 xDrive35i was equipped with. The package adds 15 horsepower and 30 lb-ft of torque to the six-cylinder xDrive35i (315 hp total), and that means an extra 40 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque in the xDrive50i (for 440 hp). Black chrome exhaust tips and stainless steel pedals are also included. The X5 has five available interior trim levels, including the diesel xDrive35d. All-wheel drive is standard.
BMW X5 1 Generation (2000 – 2006)
BMW joined the ranks of luxury SUVs in the 2000 model year with its X5, challenging the mid-size SUVs of Infiniti, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz. Although it had all-wheel drive permanently engaged, the SUV wasn’t really meant for offloading. BMW calls the X5 a sports car. The onboard computer, formerly part of the Premium Package, is standard on 2006 models. In the Sport Package, the instrument dials are fitted with chrome rings.
