Audi A7 10 Generation (2021)
The big news is the return of the RS 7 performance variant, which is covered separately in the Cars.com Research section. Meanwhile, the A7 gets standard 20-inch wheels with all-season tires, while the S7 adds 21-inch wheels with summer tires, plus a virtual cockpit and carbon inlays.
Audi A7 9 Generation (2020)
The A7 was redesigned last year. New standard features for 2020 include lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, and auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors.
Audi A7 8 Generation (2019)
The 2019 A7 has received several subtle styling tweaks that refresh its appearance but don’t detract from its distinctive sleek and sloping silhouette. The big news is inside and under the hood: a completely redesigned multimedia system and a new powertrain.
Audi A7 7 Generation (2018)
The supercharged V-6’s output is up slightly to 340 horsepower and LED ambient lighting is now standard. Prestige versions add a corner-view camera.
Audi A7 6 Generation (2017)
For 2017, the biggest change for the A7 is the introduction of a new level of Competition interior trim. It adds a little more horsepower, a sportier suspension, and minor exterior modifications.
Audi A7 5 Generation (2016)
Horsepower on the gas V-6 increases to 333 from 310, and the city and highway fuel economy estimate each increase by 2 mpg to 20 and 30 mpg, respectively. Styling updates include a new front styling, grille and headlights, and new LED taillights and trapezoidal tailpipes integrated into the rear bumper. The Audi Connect communications system adds standard 4G LTE and an integrated Wi-Fi hot spot.
Audi A7 4 Generation (2015)
Newly standard for the 2015 model year is four-zone automatic climate control and a blind-spot warning system.
Audi A7 3 Generation (2014)
For 2014, Audi made it even better by adding the word “efficient” to the A7’s long list of attributes, thanks to the company’s 3.0-liter diesel V-6 that can now be stuffed under its shapely hood. There aren’t many other changes from 2013 to 2014, but the A7 didn’t need many.
Audi A7 2 Generation (2013)
Formerly a four-seat car, the A7 can now have an available rear bench seat that increases seating capacity to five. The supercharged V-6 drivetrain now includes fuel-saving stop-start technology, which automatically turns off the engine when you come to a stop and restarts it when you need to accelerate. The system includes an off button.
Audi A7 1 Generation (2012)
The A7 is available with just one engine, and it’s a good one: a 310-horsepower, supercharged V-6 teamed with an eight-speed automatic transmission. An optional Sport Package adds shift paddles to the steering wheel for manual gear changes.
