Xenon lamps do not use in fog lights: constantly changing the configuration of the discharge violates the strictly calculated geometry of the light beam, and the headlight does not perform its direct function. For fog lights it is better to use only LED bulbs.

Audi A4 26 Generation (2021)
Most significant changes: a new screen and multimedia system inside, complete with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that sits high atop the redesigned center stack; Titanium Premium trim dropped, Premium Plus and Prestige trim added.
Audi A4 25 Generation (2020)
The 2020 Audi A4 gets a refresh that introduces changes of varying degrees to the compact luxury sports sedan. In an interesting wrinkle, the new equipment and styling don’t seem to have moved the base price — it holds fast at $38,395 (including a $995 destination fee, also unchanged) for the front-wheel-drive Premium version, while the first tier of all-wheel-drive Quattro models has actually dropped in price. This is rare in an automotive world where vehicles seem to add dollars to their bottom lines each year even without changes.
Audi A4 24 Generation (2019)
For 2019, there are more prominent shoulder creases on the sides of the car, and the grille has been strengthened. LED headlights are now standard, and the Premium Plus trim adds LED daytime running lights. The changes are more substantial inside, where the A4’s multimedia screen has been replaced by a larger (and standard) 10.1-inch screen in the same spot on the dash.

Heated front seats and S Line exterior accents are now standard. Premium Plus trims gain Audi Side Assist and Pre Sense rear safety features while the Prestige version adds lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, automatic high-beam headlights, and traffic-sign-recognition capability.

Audi A4 20 Generation (2015)
Among the new additions for 2015, three-zone climate control, high-intensity xenon headlights, and LED taillights are now standard.
Audi A4 19 Generation (2014)
Horsepower on the standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine increases to 220 from 211. In a shuffling of standard and optional features, the Convenience Package (Bluetooth, Homelink garage door opener, Audi music interface, and driver information system) is now standard on the base Premium model. A new S Line Style Package for the Premium includes xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights, LED running lights and taillights, automatic headlight leveling, and other exterior enhancements.
Audi A4 18 Generation (2013)
Chief among the updates for 2013 are revisions to the car’s face, including redesigned headlights, and some functional changes inside.
Audi A4 17 Generation (2012)
Among the 2012 upgrades, the Premium version of the A4 adds 10-spoke 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. Premium Plus models get S-line looks, 10-spoke 18-inch wheels, memory function for the driver’s seat, and a power tailgate on station wagon bodies. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Prestige gets adaptive cornering lights and a blind-spot warning system.
Audi A4 16 Generation (2011)
Audi has wrung quite a bit of performance from its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which powers all versions of the A4. Whether accelerating from a stoplight or merging on the highway, the engine feels bigger than it is, bringing you up to speed more quickly than its specs suggest. There’s even a little power in reserve on the highway when a burst is needed. All in all, it feels just as strong as the BMW 328i with its inline-six-cylinder engine. Credit the turbo four-cylinders healthy 258 pounds-feet of torque at a low 1,500 rpm.
Audi A4 15 Generation (2010)
Audi no longer uses the 3.2-liter V-6 engine in 2010, so all models use the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Audi A4 14 Generation (2009)
The sedan is available in 2.0T and 3.2 versions, with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 211 hp or a V-6 with 265 hp. The Avant station wagon is only available in the 2.0T version. The A4 convertible and high-performance S4 versions of the 2009 Audi sedan will be carry-over stock from the previous generation. Expect an updated convertible, S4, and upgraded RS 4 in 2010 or 2011.
Audi A4 13 Generation (2008)
The 2008 Avant sedan and wagon versions of the A4 now come standard with the S-line package. The iPod connectivity kit is now optional. The Cabriolet is also available, and each body type comes in 2.0T form with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 3.2 version with a V-6. Sedans and convertibles are available with FrontTrak front-wheel drive or Quattro all-wheel drive. The Avant station wagon only comes with Quattro.
Audi A4 12 Generation (2007)
For 2007, the convertible (Cabriolet) version was redesigned; changes for the rest of the lineup are minor. The A4 continues to be offered in sedan, wagon (Avant), and convertible versions.
Audi A4 11 Generation (2006)
Three new models have joined the 2006 lineup: a 3.2 quarto sedan, an Avant wagon with a six-speed manual transmission, and a 3.2 front-drive sedan with Audi’s Multitronic continuously variable transmission. A new S-line series includes a sport suspension, trunk lid lip spoiler, sporty side sills, and brushed aluminum interior trim. A hill-hold function has been added to all CVT models.
Audi A4 10 Generation (2005)
Volkswagen’s luxury division redesigned its compact, entry-level A4 sedan and Avant wagon midway through the 2005 model year by giving them larger engines with direct fuel injection. A new, larger grille was similar to the one on the midsize A6 sedan.
Audi A4 9 Generation (2004)
The power passenger seat has been removed from the 2004 model year 3.0 FrontTrak sedan. The Audi A4 sedan and A4 Avant get a standard six-speed manual transmission, tire pressure sensor, and two-stage front airbags. All models are ready for Sirius or XM Satellite Radio.
Audi A4 8 Generation (2003)
Audi added another A4 series by reviving the Cabriolet (convertible) body style for the 2003 model year. Promising performance that’s comparable to its sedan and wagon siblings, the four-passenger A4 Cabriolet also is available with a CVT, and it shares basic styling touches with the A4 sedan.

Volkswagen’s luxury division redesigned its compact, entry-level A4 sedan and A4 Avant wagon for 2002 and made an innovative Multitronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) available.
Audi A4 6 Generation (2001)
All models also have side-impact airbags to protect the bodies of front-seat occupants. Audi has extended its warranty for 2001. The basic warranty is now for four years/50,000 miles, one year longer than before, including free scheduled maintenance.
Audi A4 5 Generation (2000)
The A4’s front seats provide ample room for large occupants, but the rear seat doesn’t have much legroom for tall people. The optional power sunroof steals about 2 inches of headroom. The attractive dashboard places most controls where they are easy to see and operate. Cloth upholstery is standard, and leather is optional on A4 2.8 models.
